This guy at work used to work in a hospital. He was telling stories about people coming in with the DTs and how they would always see pink elephants.
So I put on my straight face said "I got the DTs once, but when I got to the hospital this big pink elephant met me at the door and said I'd be fine and to go home and sleep it off. So I did."
His response... "REALLY!?!?"
So I repeated myself, stating with emphasis
that I was met at the door by a pink elephant. Still doesn't get it. So me and two other guys try explaining it to him.
He never did understand it was a joke. So it was time to make a poster...
