Default New full timer

Came across this forum while researching antenna ideas for the 5th wheel. Looks like a great resource, so I signed up. I mainly roam the areas of Southern Utah, Nevada, Arizona.

Been licensed since 1959 and enjoy working HF CW.
I'm using a Hustler up on the luggage rack and needless to say the performance is poor at best.

Welcome aboard Bill.
Glad to have you join us. Great bunch of folks here at ORR. Post your questions and your photos of your Hustler and I'm sure someone will come up with some suggestions to help you out.
73,
Andy - n1ork

Hi Bill,
I use a Comet CHA250 when I'm going to be in one spot for awhile, or a Tarheel 200 Screwdriver. I mount them on a short telescoping pole attached to my rear ladder. As others have said, do a quick search on the forum and there will be lots of info on antennas. Good folks on here, willing to help.
Happy travels.
Doc

Hi Bill, I am in Colorado right now, and will spend November and December on the east coast then plan on roaming Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona until warm weather forces me back up north. You'll find this a great board to read, I don't post a lot but usually read it at least twice a week.

Safe Travels

Thanks for all the welcoming comments and glad to be among "like minded" people

I know the feeling Bill and we usually head down to Arizona/Nevada for the winter. We do the "snow bird" thing.....

Hi Doc, I am between Longmont and Loveland. We shipped all our belongings up here over a year ago waiting for the house to sell. House sold, have been here since July sorting thru things and getting the FW organized. Have to set up a ham station before heading to the east coast.

Take Care
