I was not in the radio room as much as I had planned today. Sorry that I missed you Andy. I don't know if we could have worked or not but I didn't get the chance to even try.

Andy, would you like to set up a sked for tomorrow ? Let's try 20 meters. If convenient for you send me a freq and time. If possible make it late morning or early afternoon please. We have company coming tomorrow evening and I have to help the wifey a little. I think Ken is off on Fridays so maybe he can also give it a try or anyone else on the forum that may wish to join. Would love to have you.

Will check this thread before giving it up for the evening to look for a response from anyone wishing to participate. Is this one of your Fridays off also Radio ?

I should be around Friday, unless the DW has other plans for me (the Yes Dear syndrome). I'll check this thread and post when I'm on and freq. 20m sounds good, maybe on the high side to keep clear of other stuff incase it opens up (dreaming!). Late morning is good.

Default Todays (Friday) Sked

It's about 0840 CT here... I'll be back looking for a 20 meter freq posted for a late morning schedule. Jump in there someone please. 1000 to 1100 hours CT OK ? Or, just post a time and freq and I'll do my best to be there.

Have a few things to do but will be back.

Jim

Andy - I've been listening and calling... I don't hear much of anything here. Band is almost zilch, an occassional station but very weak.

I'm moving to 7230 and listening there. It's 1216 hours CT

Well I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet. I believe there is hope for a QSO between ORR members.

Gentlemen,

Here's a proposed sked by Stephen (AE5BI) for this coming Saturday. Make a note of it please and lets try to make some ORR on-air contacts ...

- We will give a listen and try 14.260 at 4PM PT but I was warned that this is a popular DX Freq. so if it is busy we'll move up or down a bit. At 6PM we give 7.230 a try. -

That's 6PM CT/7PM ET for 20 meters and 8PM CT/9PM ET fot the 40 meter freq. Am I correct guys ?

I'll be there the good Lord a willing as we say in the south.

I'll try to be there. Yeah Jim, the times are correct. Maybe that's why so many of us use UTC (I still have to subtract 5, or 4 if it's DST). So that would be 23:59 Saturday or 00:00 for 20m and 01:00 (on Sunday) for 40m.
This is getting too confusing!
Hope to talk then!

Jagco, some of us may be around earlier in the day. Post a freq and time and some may try to make it earlier as well. Thanks.

I'm GMT -8 ("Universal" Time seems a little presumptuos )PT. Confusing because everbody but AZ keeps changing times twice a year!!! Stop it!

Anyway, you have your time right. I too am disabled and am home all day but I watch the stock market like a hawk (currently my only source of income ) until it closes at 1PM cool people time (CPT). Hi, hi...

I watch my email when the PC is on so let me know if you want to set up a sked. I talked to HI yesterday on 14.260 just because I was monitoring to see how busy it was.

Hi Stephen,

I'm listening on 14.230 right now. Quiet here. I'm using a 80 mtr inverted "V".
