Default Home tomorrow

We've had a great time since leaving home on June 12th. It's been our longest time out "on the road". Before, we were only out for a week or weekend. So, this has been an experience for the XYL and I. We've not been across country but, certainly enjoyed the scenery of North Georgia, Southwest North Carolina, Florida and Alabama.

The trip was for one thing to escape some of the hot, humid temperatures of our Florida home. We certainly did that in North Georgia and North Carolina. It was 46 degrees in Dillard, GA on first arriving there. We had not planned for those low temps. It was a good thing we had one long sleeved shirt each.

I've been working on a travel log but it's not complete. The link can be found in my signature. I'll work at it and hopefully complete it soon. Our current location is Ho-Hum RV Park, near Carrabelle, FL. We will leave here in the morning for the short pull home (75 miles).

It was nice to be able to check back in with the old ham friends back home via HF and keep up with you guys on the furum here.

We should be back home shortly after noon tomorrow. We're already planning our next trip.

We want to hear all about it. My son and I are going to High Falls State Park this coming weekend before he returns to his LAST SEMESTER AT GA TECH!!

Toys we are taking include cameras, radios and dutch ovens! Trip report to follow!

Sounds like you are going to be a candidate for full timing someday.
We will hit the road within the next 60 days ourselves.
I know many that full time it out there.
Like you, we look forward to following the WX and staying away from adverse conditions as we travel.
Besides, traveling around you get to see this great country and taste all the different types of foods that are available throughout this country.

I don't know about ever full timing it Ken. Something about this "Country Boy" requires that I have roots to return to. I enjoy the RVing but it's also nice to return home. Where we live may have something to do with it too. A creek in the back yard, cypress trees and stumps. Living here is like camping out everyday.

I know you and the wife are going to have a good time at the full time though. If you ever get here to the panhandle of Florida, look us up please.

Hey Wade - Sounds like a great outing with the son. Not familiar with High Falls but, the XYL and I sure wittnessed some beautiful places in the north part of your fair state. Georgia is a diverse state.

I assume the son is in engineering, one of the "Rambling Wrecks from GA Tech". Good school. Know you are proud.
