1. 2m in the RV but do not use it while driving. Antenna is mounted on the back luggage rack. Powered by the house batteries.
2. Carry an HT 2 band in the toad with a mag mount antenna.

No 2m in the motor home or dinghy, but no fewer than 7 of them, maybe more, sitting around, some new in box. One of these days I guess I'll get one of those round tuit thingies ...

Welcome to ORR Clifford. We have had a couple new forum members in recent days. Pull up a seat and join in. I see you pulled one in from over 2 1/2 years ago, no matter it is timeless. I have a TT but no ham gear in it, but do have a dual band Yaesu 7800R in the TV, but seldom turn it on. I should probably use it more when traveling but would rather listen to talk radio on FM.
You may want to edit your information on QRZ, it says you are in Shoshone county Idaho but your mail address is Utah. An of course the map is wrong also.

I have a "HAM" sticker from the ARRL. Plus a monitoring 146.52 sticker on the back of my Class A DP. By using 52 I don't have figure out the local repeater. My HT sits in a cup holder tuned to 52. I use use a headset or speaker mic.
Over the years I've talked to many Hams this way.

Welcome, Beau. I've got an old friend (first crush from when I was a freshman at Yokohama American High School, 64 years ago) who lives near you (about 65 miles, almost due north). She & her hubby raise horses just south of Canton. I tell'em to move to Ocala (horse-breeding country in Florida) and get out of the cold; she's a Georgia girl originally. No dice, though.
