Default intermittent tv resception problem solved

ever sense i bought my trailer, i have had an intermittent problem when receiving from the antenna. the dealer, as myself, thought the problem to be in the connector at the point the coax went thru the roof.
well recently, i replaced the antenna and all worked without problem. then i went into the old antenna and found the F connector that fed to the outside world was not tight (nuts that sandwiched the plastic ant housing weren't tight on the f connector). found out i could have tightened it from the outside. the nut on the inside is crimped so it doesn't move easily.

this and the next picture is suposed to show that there is slack between the housing and the nut. sense it wasn't tight, the ground eyelet had hit and miss contact with the metal f connector.

shows the rest of what is inside. there has been discussion elsewhere abt the amp being located in the switch area. shows the amp is actually in the ant.
