Busy at Christmas?
It's pretty quiet on ORR.net. Everyone must be busy.
In the airline business, Christmas is a pretty busy time of year. They're giving me all of the overtime I can stand. And then there's all the holiday prep on the home front.
You busy? What are you up to?
And what are you not doing due to lack of time? Camping?
I guess nobody is in the parks, cause Georgia State Parks are offering half price THIS WEEKEND ONLY on cabins. Must not be much going on, huh?

Well, if I can be said to have a job, then in my line of work this is indeed one of the two busy seasons.. (I sing in the church choir don't you know).
Easter however makes Christmas look like snooze city.
(On Christmas we have one BIG and I mean BIG celebration to sing for... Easter we Sing for like 4 or 5 nights in a row), including Late Saturday Evening (Got to bet 12:30 am last year) and early Sunday Morning (Got up 6am) That was a very good morning,, Afternoon was the pitts but the morning was fantastic) Wife crashed the jeep we had just bought and died about 3:45 pm).

For us, it isn't nearly as busy as it was when we worked. But for the period of Thanksgiving when we have had all 6 of the grand kids and their parents here at the same time. At Christmas eve, half of the grand kids and their parents, then the trip that is close to 120 miles one way so see the other half of them and their parents on Christmas day. We raised three kids two of which are the ones with the kids.
It is something when we go from 4 that normally live here to having 14 during a holiday. I, because I was born in a large family, that doubled to 17 kids total, shouldn't have a problem, but my wife was an only child. She loves these times and the interactions.

Merry Christmas to all our ORR members! May your RV'ing be filled with great destinations and your campfires keep you and your S'mores warm. May every radio contact be just the one you need and may your antennas always resonate.

My son Matt (a.k.a. Atlas) was busy this Christmas. We have had a blast watching him put this moment together with tenderness and care, and the attention to detail a trained engineer brings to any task.
Way to go Matt, and we love you and your bride to be Katherine.

Congratulations to Matt and Katherine.....Well done!
We have been spending a lot of time as a family this past month. Not much time for radio.
Went to Disney World Saturday after Thanksgiving and spent a week there. On the way home went to the Air Museum in Pensacola and Fort Pickens.
We did not take the fiver this trip. Disney was different but good. We stayed in a resort on the property. It was nothing like the campground but was very nice. When asked the girls stated they liked both the campground and the resort, but would like to stay in the campground next time.
Last night, we spent the evening with family and ate gumbo. Today family came back and we had Ham, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, cornbread dressing.Everyone got lots of presents and a good time was had by all.
From my family to yours...Merry Christmas and we hope you all have a wonderful New Year.
