Hint: it took 100 years of analysis to figure out what it is, and it's more than 2000 years old. The photos are computer regenerations of what it once looked like.

I guess this'n was boring. Oh, well. It is the oldest complex mechanism ever found, called the Antikythera Mechanism after the Greek island near which it was found.

I've been gone a few days with Easter stuff going on, but if I were to guess I'd say it was a computer to calculate the positions of planets in the sky.
Now I'll have a peek to see if I'm right.
