Ah that is epensive,, I posted less than that (in other forums) on New Year's Eve (1.97) and have seen 1.72 as recently as Saturday night.

It gets better.... I have two cards in my wallet, one of 'em is good for 70¢ off at a Shell, most any shell, and the other for like 75¢ at selected pumps (Also shell).

At Publix supermarkets in Florida, you can buy a $50 Shell gift card for $40 during fairly frequent promotions, if you also buy $50 worth of other stuff. I do that frequently; at the moment I have four gas cards waiting to be used. $50 worth of groceries is about what I'd have bought anyway. The promotion also applies to some other brands of gas card -- Marathon comes to mind.

That's 20% off. So, if Shell gas is $2.00, I'm getting it for $1.60. Not bad compared to this time last year.

Yes, here in Georgia, too. Sweet Wife does that pretty often.
