Default A chance to purchase a little history

I just saw on facebook that Merle Haggard's old coach is listed on ebay. It was one that was traded in for a newer coach. It is a 2008 model, one I am not familiar with, MCI J4500. I will assume it is 45' based on the model number. It has a starting bid of $250,000 and the bidding ends Monday AM. So far no bidders. It has 370,000 miles on it but well taken care of since they couldn't afford to have it break down on the road. It doesn't appear to have any slides but heavily customized. You can see in on ebay by searching "MCI J4500". Add Merle Haggard to the search to go straight to it. There are a number of MCI coaches listed but only one "Super Chief". One thing I noticed, it has 2 diesel generators on it. Naturally it has ample sleeping areas for the people in his band. I would also think it had ample fuel capacity.

1/4 mil is a lot of money for a used coach with almost 400,000 miles on the clock. Even if it belonged to M.H. That would be strictly for a collector. Too rich for this old boy.

For commercial buss that's not a huge amount of miles.

That's about the going price for a MCI coach, with even more miles on it with all the seats still in it.
