Perseid Meteor Shower - excuse to camp August 12

The Perseid Meteor Shower arrives every August. This year will peak on Aug 11 and 12.

The nice thing about this little adventure is there's no special place you need to be or special gear required. Friends, lawn chairs, cold drinks and maybe some bug repellent should be all you need.

Ever been to a Judo tournament? Saturday (05 Aug), basically all day, I'll be about 25 miles from Fayetteville, at the ATJA/AJJF Nationals on the south side of Atlanta. Visitors/spectators welcome, no charge.

If you want to find me, easiest way is to find this lady, Debbie Rucker, AKA Judo Slave, and ask her to point me out. She'll be there with Gabriel, the big dog. Her husband Dana will be refereeing on one of the main mat areas. Debbie is The Boss, the driving force behind the Greatest Camp On Earth, and a wonderful person; also a black belt in Judo. The pic was taken (not by me) last weekend at another tournament, also in Atlanta.
