Default What modes do you operate in your RV?

Just for fun I thought we'd find out what modes we take with us in our RV. (Just the RV, not the stuff you do at home) You can click as many as you want.

Oops, just voted for what I use in the van not in my TT. If I don't have an RV, can I vote for what I use in my seasonal travel trailer (TT)? Oh man, I really screwed up! Can I try again? Huh? Huh? (Hi.....Hi)
Oh by the way, I've done HF/VHF/UHF ssb, am, fm, sstv and psk31 from my TT using my FT-857D

Default Ooops!

Andy, you must be from Florida...

I don't know how to "undo" a vote, and once you vote it locks you out...good thing this is all just in fun, anyway.

I'm wearin' 4 layers, does it look like I'm from Fla? CT actually and seasonal TT in NH. Nice job with the site. Wish I still had my HotWater 101.

I also use APRS while traveling but not from the RV (tow a trailer) I also plan on doing digital while camping just haven't done it yet. Someday I want to buy a Gunnaplexer and try microwave 10 or 24 ghz mountain top to who knows where. Just need time and to meet others who do it.

Do you mean successfully? None. Just kidding. I am still struggling with an external TNC a friend gave me so I haven't had a successful email yet...

On our next trip I will be using hf and uhf/vhf.

I just need to wire the power cord to my IC-706, now do I hook to the coach battery's or the chassis battery.

I vote neither. I'd drag a long an extra deep cycle battery just for the radio. No hash, no problems, and the rig will start when you are ready to leave. I have run my TS-570 for a week, logging 525 contacts on an ordinary $30 car battery from WalMart

That sounds good to me. One question though? Would you carry it for me and set it up when I want to operate hf?

"She who must be obeyed" would beat me severly around the head and shoulders if I bought yet another battery or extension cord

I got mine licensed. They're so much easier to manage that way.
