That sounds like fun...write up a descriptive blurb and post it under "nets and clubs"
When I get the other half of my folded dipole back up I might try checking in!

I myself have checked in several times on the 20m net @1830 utc. 14.290MHz. Gets a little crowded. the other day I was 99 in line. today I was #13 in line. Haven't gotten my OMISS# yet.

Gee, I thought it had something to do with Miss. State University. I've heard them on HF but thought you had to be a Miss. alumni.

Have you all tried Net Logger? It's a free program that will find any listed net on line with the time and freqs.

OMISS 6958 To find nets just do a search on the ARRL net directory.
SOUTHCARS travel net is on 7.251 there is also ECARS (7.255), NORCARS (7.197) and MIDCARS (7.258). Sams Hams Travel Net 14.279 and Sams Hams Evening Net 3918.5. Satern, Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Net (14.265) is very active and don't forget the Maritime Mobil Net 14.300 24/7. And 10-10 nets (76098), when band conditions are good I check into the German 10-10 net on 28.355 at 1400Z. I have better luck with it than the US 10-10 net at 1800Z on 28/380 or 28.800.
