New Year Ham Radio Resolutions
Anyone else have any "New Year" Ham Radio Resolutions? Mine is to get some kind of antennas up here at the RV for weak signal work on 2m/432 and also 6 meters. I have a radio to do it so I dont have any excuses except the antenna. Thinking of some of the stacked omni directional antennas that I can get up about 20ft or so....

Yeah, got to do it! Need a good solid location for my IC2200H in the rig for a run into New Mexico. Got time, though, don't need it till April. However, time seems to fly with any kind of a deadline.
Just a good small antenna and a working travel position. Already use this combo when camping with the triple dipole found in the 2008 QST.
Works great just a few feet above the rig. Will cover about 40 miles to hit a repeater.
Oh well, let's see how the clock will speed up!

Antenna Work
Hi Guys,
I've got some antenna work to does as well. I have an 80 meter Double Bazooka to put up and need to cut my old 80 meter inverted "V' down to 40 meters or homebrew a 40 meter Double Bazooka.
Mark, I'm using a Diamond V2000a with my TS2000. The V2000a is a fiberglass omni for 6 meters, 2 meters and 440 MHz. I've had it for several years and it works well. It will handle about 150 watts, so works great with the 100 watts from the TS2000. I've got a Diamond triplexer connected to the rear of the TS2000 and feeding the antenna with RG-8. That might be an antenna you would consider.
You don't have an antenna set up for 40 meters or 75 meters do you ? Was thinking about the possibility of doing a sked this weekend, during the day if you had time. I would also like to get a sked set up with Andy. Could probably work him on 20 meters during the day.
Have a great weekend everyone and a Happy New Year.

Catch up on all my outstanding QSLs...there are quite a few going back a few years...prompt responders always get answered, but sometimes you get a card 3 years after the contact and I tend to be a bit slow about getting to those.

Speaking of QSL card. I've not had any in years. Since I have the new vanity call, what is a good, economical place to order from ?

I'm a LOTW fan too, but as far as actual cards, I do mine on the computer.
My resolution was to get a Kenwood TM271A, for my truck, and it's on the way. I will be able to use it in the MH too.

I usually don't make resolutions that way I can't break them. But, if I were to make any I think there would be several.
1. Get my General ticket.
2. Move my equipment into my new radio room.
3. Get the fishing boat back in the water.
4. Build a cabinet and antenna for the 2 meter in the motorhome.
