I am 70 miles north of Detroit, and so far our winter total snow fall is around 2 feet. with about a foot and a half on the ground now. The local weather said that was above normal. It seems to me that we had that kind of snow fall every winter when I was a kid.

I'm no expert, but I tend to think these are weather trends or cycles. I agree, this winter seems like winters we used to have when I was a kid. I'm not giving out my age.

I read a report (wish I could find the link) of one guy's theory of climate change. He said we do indeed go through cycles, and we've been in a warming cycle for the last 20 years or so, and he predicts we will now start a cooling cycle. We are going to have winters more like the 60's and 70's had. Beats the heck outta me, but I prefer the warmer winters myself. The old body just can't take the cold any more.

I heard on Fox News, earlier in the week, they had to postpone a meeting or hearing in DC concerning "global warming" because of the freezing ice and snow. No joke, "for real", as some would say.
