Tick Removal Tool - Recommend you get one of these.
Every now and then comes a product that you can believe in and recommend to all your friends. This little gadget works like a champ and I have had them since backpacking days:
http://www.tickinfo.com/protickremedy.htm
We currently have 3 of them - one for the house, one we keep in the camper first aid kit and Dottie the Dalmatian has one of her own. It seem poor Dottie gets ticks more than anybody around here and I just don't want to share medical equipment with the dog, ya know?
Get a couple of these. The web page also provides more info than you realy want to know about ticks. Nasty little buggers.

That looks pretty cool. Not too expensive either.
Our dog got a tick last time camping. I am actually pretty suprised that we don't see more of them around here.
Had to laugh though, Gold plated.... for a tick removal tool.

Umm, the plain ones are 3.95.
But I can see the humor in giving a gold one to your kids scoutmaster.
And it's a real challenge to get a tick off a dog, but with one of these, they pop right off. Intact, nothing left behind.

I will probably order at least one of these. Thanks for the recommendation.
