Exclamation 80 meters not bad today

No transmit antenna now, but I did some SWLing today on 80m, it was open almost all day in NE OHIO.

I didn't listen on 80 today Jim. I do keep tuned to 80 during the day most of the time. I hang out on 3806 with a group in FL, AL and GA.

80 seems to be a mixed bag these days.. One day you can hear the world.. the next you can not (hardly) hear yourself.

Wish I could find the source of some of those noise generators that sweep very slowly across the bands and send a friend of mine to visit them with a couple of containers of stuff he had in his lab.

I'm not sure what was in those containers.. I just know you mix the two and RUN LIKE BLAZES before they have time to react.
