Which do like better, Next Exit or Exit Now? Tell us why?

I'll assume you are talking about Interstate signs.
I prefer the "Next EXIT" because it gives you time to maneuver if you need to.
"Exit Now", imply's "RIGHT NOW" and you should be in the proper lane already.
They both have their applications, but in unfamiliar territory you sometimes need all the planning time you can get.
Some Day's I can use the extra time , just to get out of the driveway !

"Next Exit" and "Exit Now" are printed guides that tell you what services are available at any given exit along the interstate highway. Fuel, restaurants, campgrounds, medical services and whether RV friendly parking is available.

The two guides differ in layout, organization, binding and other features. The poll question is which one do folks like better.

Not trying to be a wise a$$ Wade, but I'll stick to my answer , and for the same reason !
Some times I need all the help I can get , and a reminder as to why I was getting off the "I" in the first place.
I usually don't need a "GPS" though, the XYL tells me where to go with out any trouble at all ;-))))

I have a GPS like the one in the Movie RV so that it tells me everything to do and when to do it. Just to tickle my grandsons' funny bone, I can start to argue with it just like Robin Williams does in the movie. It would be great if this info in the printed guides would be included on the GPS too.

I hate to admit it but the other thing they like to laugh about is when they watch grandpa dump the poo. This is because I added a 4 inch piece of clear plastic sewer extension. I use it to see if we got a clean dump or if we need to flush it more.

If the trip is long, I like to plan in detail. The exit guides and Street Atlas give me all the tools I need to plan a trip, especially the all important fuel stops. I run Street Atlas again on the laptop while mobile. Sweet Wife can find what ever unexpected need we may have by looking in the exit guides. She doesn't get to run the Street Atlas navigation software enough to remember how to use it from one trip to the next, so I'd rather it not be fooled with while we are driving.

We call our gps "lola" after the one in the movie RV. We also keep that movie in the camper. Too funny.

I like the next exit myself because I can then judge if that is the exit I really want or just continue on to another one.

When hauling the camper "exit now" can be a little tedious at the least. I like plenty of room to manuever. Saw too many idiots when I was driving professionally that would zoom up beside you and then realize the exit was immediately to the right and just whip the wheel over and go for it. Big rigs don't really do well at stopping on dimes.

My bad...I assumed everyone understood I was asking about which of these two exit guide publications you like best. I shall go edit the question to make it a bit more precise as to what on earth Radio is going on about.

I guess I have never thought about a preference. I buy one one year and the other one the next year and keep rotating like that. What I hate is taking an exit expecting to find an advertized fuel stop, only to find it no longer exist.

I have to go along with Andy, never heard of a printed version.
Also I have found that even in the "BRANDED" stations and fast food joints that some we have stopped at on one trip , have changed brands or just closed the next.
So it's catch as catch can either way.

Even our "GYPSIE" lies sometimes !

Have used both guides, prefer the exit now. Exit Now has the routes numerically listed, then shows the routes progression through the various states in one place so you are not jumping from state to state through out the guide.

Don't use either. I use "RVers Friend" as it lists locations.all over instead of just along the Interstates. They have a website too, just search for RVers Friend or Truckers Friend.

I like iExit on my iPhone! Tells you what's at this exit plus the next ones as you scroll through the list or look at the map.
