Well, I guess every birthday is good news but if you've had 94 already each one is a little special.

The trouble is we are beginning to run out of new ideas for what to do to celebrate.

This year we are pulling out all the stops, inviting old friends from her teaching days, (Her 2nd graders are in their 50 - 60s) Having cake and punch and a live band. :jitter:

Should be a real hoot!

Naw. That's been done already.

But my Dad, my brother and I have a combined 55 years at Delta Air Lines, so she has a fondness for airplanes. Commercial ones, anyway. Doesn't care for Pipers or Cessnas.

I do not know what birthday is what item but most 'evenly divisible by 5' birthdays have titles.. IE Diamong, Gold, Sliver.. Google for it.

She got a silver colored walker. :giggle:

We showed her a good time at the party. I think when you get that old you have accumulated all the stuff you think you'll ever need... and now she is beginning to start giving it away after so many years of hoarding it.

Even at only 61 all I ever want for my birthday is get the wife and kids together and go have a steak. "What do you want for your birthday, Dad?"

A few hours of your life. That's all. And I think Mom is that way.

But I really did get her a walker. She has become quite "wobbly" of late.

"What do you want for your birthday?"

A few hours of your life. That's all.

Wade, as you know, I often make light-hearted nonsense comments. But on this occasion, I'm totally serious when I say, God grant every child such parents, and every parent such children. Too few people understand the importance of "a few hours of your life".
