140' Rohn 55 Tower Construction Complete!
To me, this is what ham radio is all about--fellowship and a git 'er dun attitude! Check out these photos:

This 141' Rohn 55G tower was built in three days (over a month due to weather restrictions) with lots of volunteer help. So far, this is the tallest tower I've worked on and I look forward to the next project.
I am grateful to K5XM Trent for the opportunity, all the little people way below us on the ground, and especially KE5WXN Matthew for working side-by-side on the tower with me.
73 & good DX in 2012!

Thanks guys. For the last six months or so, every weekend with decent weather we have been up on towers, either taking them down or putting them up. A couple of my ham buddies and I decided we like the work and we formed the A-Team (antenna team)! We've been in high demand ever since. We don't charge for the labor, this is a hobby after all. The commercial towers we remove in exchange for the free sections. We stockpile the sections and put them up for free in ham's yards. The 140 footer above was mostly new sections though.
