Default New to the forum

Hello all,

New to the forum but not to RV'ing or Ham Radio. Currently have a new 09
Keystone Cougar 5er with an 06 Ford F350 tow vehicle. I have my general
ticket and I am studying for my extra. I have continued to persue CW and
enjoy my slow mode.

At the shack I run an Icom 746 thru various wire antennas and in the rig an
Icom 706 MkII G through my lil tarheel antenna.

Looking forward to seeing you all either in a campground somewhere or on
the air.

Welcome aboard Gene!
You'll find a great bunch of folks here. I used to have a 32' TT, but now have settled down with a Park Model with attached sunroom at a seasonal resort near lake Ossipee in NH. Good luck on ur Extra, Just got the ARRL study manual myself not too long ago. Don't forget to post some photos in the Photo section!

Welcome to the ORR.net forums, Gene. Been watching you lurk around for a few days, 'bout time you introduced yourself!

So where in GA do you ProPhoto?

Thanks for the welcome.

Wade, I am in the Augusta, GA area. I work from my studio part time and on
location part time. Recently was down in the US Virgin Islands and Puerta
Vallarta. It is fun but doesn't always pay the bills.. I also work as a
SAN(storage array engineer) for a local company here in Augusta. That is after
I retired from the Army back in 96.

Hi Gene,

Good to have you. Name here is Jim. I'm about 25 miles east of Panama City, FL. I retired in '05. Maybe you could give myself and some of the others a few pointers in photography from time-to-time. I enjoy photography but not much good with it. I still enjoy CW as well. If you are slow enough maybe we could sked a QSO on 80 meters one evening. I've not done much key tapping in awhile but that used to be my first choice of modes. About all I do now is check into a few nets on 75 and 40. We're not full time RVer's but, should I say serious about it. We spent about two months this past summer in the Franklin, NC and Dillard, GA area.

Good to have you. If I can be of assistance PM or holler real loud. I'm on here at least twice a day.

Hello from RI !
Also new to the forum, been licensed since 1969 and only into RV'ing since 2004. We recently upgraded from a TT to a 4Winds class C, and hope to eventually figure out way to get either the IC-706 or Argonaut 515 installed in it when travelling.

regards,

Randy, k8zfj/qrp mobile

Welcome aboard Randy. nice to have someone else from New England on the site. I'm sure there's someone here that will help you getting those rigs set up in your class C. Great bunch of people here.
