New RV'er
Hi to all RV Hams on this net. The xyl and I just purchased our first Class A and will be on the go this summer. Wonder if there is an actual on-air HF net in addition to the forum ?
35 year Ham,all bands, running HF, VHF & UHF in the coach. Planning to make the first cross country trip next April ( 2011 ) and going on to Dayton in May. Visiting National Parks in the West in October 2010.

Welcome aboard ORR.net!
Unlike those "other" RV nets we actually like to have new members.
Don't be shy, jump right in and join the fun!

There is an Off Roads Radio Radio net (no that is not stuttering) I have it 'Bookmarked' on my radio though I've never heard activity on that frequency (Band conditions do not favor where I park) Alas, the shack radio is down and I can't read the dial from here.
Perhaps someone else will either
1: Confirm net is active and list frequency or
2: Conirm net is not active and let me free up a memory

Keep asking and digging around in the forums. I think some of the guys were trying to do a net but propagation hasn't helped much. My work life is a bit weird and even though I live in a stick house I don't get on the air much unless we are off in the RV somewhere.

Ok, My radio says someoen is or was trying to get us together at 1pm Eastern time (Do not know if that is standard or Dumb stupid time (DST) which would be 1700 GMT if it's DST and 1800 if it's Standard.
The frequency is 7.23 MHZ
I have never heard anyone on that frequency
There is also an FMCA net if you are interested
And if you wish there are other nets you are welcome The Wolverine SSB net meets at (currently) 7pm, with pre-net starting about an hour earlier, (that is 2300 GMT at the moment, tends to be that (2300 GMT) most of the year) on 3935 KHz (3.935 MHZ)
The B-4 Breakfast club meets staring with a pre-net starting around 1-2 Am EASTERN (THAT IS 0500-0600 GMT during the summer, add 1 hour in the winter) on 3.973 MHZ *3973khz) formal net starts at 3AM eastern as I recall, this leads into the Breakfast club at 5am Eastern runs till around 8am
LIsten close. you might hear me

Frequency 14263 KHz
Time, I'm not sure but listen in the afternoon say 2-3-4 PM eastern time
There used to be a very powerful base type station in Texas who did a "pre-net" some fokls complained about him.. but I have not heard him on lately..
I do not currently have access to my computerized log but I did show one entry in the 'Crash Log" at 1900 Zulu.

Don't know where I got the info but, been listening to 7.230 regularly for the last few week's but haven't heard anything sounding like an "RV NET" as yet.
Usually check into "SOUTHCARS" on 7.251 when the band condx allow, beyond that I have no information on an RV NET, if someone else has please post it !

There are a couple of RV nets. I will occassionally check in when I am at home during the day. I have the frequencies written down at home.
On is on 20m.
